About the Water Group
NOAH's Water Group focuses on the water environment of the sea, lakes, waterways and groundwater.

Our aim is to achieve cleaner surface water and better groundwater quality in Denmark through encouraging and demanding the:
1. Expansion of organic cultivation
2. Intensification of monitoring and control of point pollution sources
3. Reduction of land reclamation and elimination of all land reclamation financial support
4. Establishment of buffer zones, on a kilometre basis, between regional water extraction points and polluting industries
5. Implementation of preventative measures with respect to groundwater pollution caused by construction and industrial localisation
6. Establishment of sustainable production methods in fish farming
7. Increased efforts to implement effective water conserving measures in preference to the establishment of new extraction points, including:
                a. Reduced water consumption for irrigation purposes
                b. Reduced water consumption in households and industry
                c. Prohibition of groundwater use for the irrigation of golf courses and ornamental gardens
