Netværket for Solidarisk Handel, som består af Colombia Solidaritet, Mellemamerika Komiteen, Afrika Kontakt og NOAH Friends of the the Earth Denmark, afholder sammen med IF Vestsjælland, 21.-23.9.

September school: Another globalisation is possible

Do you also not want to choose between Trump’s world or a world controlled by Goldman Sachs and Monsanto? Do you in stead want to work for a just and sustainable world?

The Network for Trade Solidarity, which consists of Colombia Solidarity, The Central America Committee, Africa Contact and NOAH Friends of the the Earth Denmark, hosts September 21-23 a school at the cultural and environmental collective Makvärket at Western Sealand. This will give the opportunity to focus on the world and globalisation we want.

Trade policies and agreements are drivers of increased inequality and unsustainable consumption and production. Agreements like TTIP (EU/USA) and CETA (EU/Canada) provide transnational companies with special rights to sue states in cases of lost profit and they lead to deregulation and privatisations. Trump’s suggestions consist of walls of customs and at borders, which will lead to a (trade) war. There is no doubt that it is time for another trade policy, which is just and sustainable.

The September school is a possibility for new as well as experienced activists to engage in work on trade and globalisation. The weekend offers possibilities to be introduced to and take part in the work and activities of the organisations, gain knowledge on trade policies and continue to work with policy development and not least of all hang out with other activists and get to know Makvärket.

The price of the weekend is kr 150. If you have difficulties finding the financial means, then please get in touch (nanna@noah.dk) and we will find a solution. The weekend will be held in Danish and English.

To sign up for participation use the template below. Your registration will apply when your transfer of kr 150 is registered on 8411 0002005853 (mark the transfer ”Septemberskole”).
